Fauna
Australia is home to may different unique animals ranging from tiny insects to 2m tall Kangaroos! Just like any country Australia is homes to Mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds, invertebrates and of course (sadly) endangered animals.

Mammals
What is it?
"A warm-blooded vertebrate animal of a class that is distinguished by the possession of hair or fur, females that secrete milk for the nourishment of the young, and (typically) the birth of live young." - Google
Australia is home to many beautiful mammals (extinct, endangered and common), one being the well known Koala, that feeds and lives on Eucalyptus trees, even though their populations are fine experts believe they could be extinct within 10years.

The most common reptiles being snake from which Australia holds 20 out of the top 25 one of these being the deadly red bellied black snake

With the world holding between 5000 & 6000 species of amphibians one of these are the beautiful Green Tree Frog

With more then 700 species of birds in Australia and 300 that are purely native to Australia comes the beautiful , loyal Galah. Not only is this bird easily recognised by its pink wings but also the fact that it mates for life, and only if that mate dies will they find a new mate.

For an animal to be considered as a critically endangered animal they need to succeed a certain criteria, this can be made up of a few things; a reduction of the appointment by 90% within a decade or the population is under 50 individuals or the population range is severely limited or fragmented. In total there are 54 critically injured animals in Australia, split into the above categories. One of these poor creatures is the Mountain Pygmy Possum.
